Ingredients:
- ½ oz lime juice
- ½ oz grapefruit juice
- ½ oz maple syrup
- 3 drops vanilla extract
- 3 drops almond extract
- 1 oz seltzer
- ½ oz John D Taylor's Velvet falernum
- ½ oz Pierre Ferrand curaçao
- ¾ oz Black Blended Rum ❺
- ¾ oz Blended Lightly Aged Rum ❷
- ¾ oz Blended Aged Rum ❸
Garnish: mint sprig
Glassware: Double old-fashioned

Method
Add all the ingredients to a drink mixer tin. Fill with 12 oz crushed ice and 4-6 agitator cubes. Flash blend and open pour with gated finish into a double old-fashioned glass. add garnish.

It's easy to batch up a mix like they do at Smuggler's Cove: Multiply the ingredient quantities of the falernum, curaçao, maple syrup, and vanilla and almond extracts by the number of grogs you plan to serve and combine in a sealable container. Then, substitute 1½ oz of this Captain's Mix for those ingredients in the recipe.
