Ingredients:
- ½ oz lemon juice
- ½ oz lime juice
- ¼ oz SC grenadine
- ½ oz demerara syrup
- ¼ oz absinthe
- 2¼ oz Black Pot Still Rum
- 1 oz seltzer
Garnish: pineapple frond
Glassware: Double old-fashioned

Method
Add all ingredients to a drink mixer tin with 12 ounces of crushed ice and 4 to 6 agitator cubes. Flash blend and open pour with gated finish into a double old-fashioned glass. Garnish with a ti leaf or pineapple fronds.

Using a full-flavored funky rum is key to this cocktail as it stands up to and compliments the Herbsaint (or absinthe). If Herbsaint is not to your taste, the Trader also made an alternate version called Dr. Funk's Son, in which the Herbsaint is dropped and a ½ oz of the black pot still rum is substituted with ½ oz black blended overproof rum ❻.
