Ingredients:
- ¾ oz Campari
 - 1¼ oz Amaro Montenegro
 - 1¼ oz mezcal
 
Garnish: orange peel
Glassware: Old-fashioned
Yield
one cocktail
Method
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and stir. Strain over a large rock, express orange peel, and garnish.

        The first sip I found bracingly bitter, but I built in-glass and perhaps didn’t stir long enough. The next few sips gave way to the sweetness of the amaro. For the heavy pour of mezcal I found it rather subtle.
