Rhum Agricole is produced using the fresh pressed juice of the sugar cane, as opposed to molasses or other sugar by products. The result is a distinctive, more fragrant and grassier style of rum.
A bottle labeled Vieux was aged for 3 years or more. A bottle labeled VSOP was aged for 6 years or more.
This style of rum falls under a legally-protected status and are officially specified as Cane AOC Martinique Rhum Agricole.
